Guided Silent Retreat for Kriyabans
for Deepening Your Practice of Kriya
10-13 August, 2017 with Nayaswami Devarshi and the Ananda Monks
“Silence is the altar of spirit” — Paramhansa Yogananda
Swami Kriyanandaji taught Kriya as a deeply inward practice. He said that “Kriya in not mechanical in the results that it gives.” This weekend we will have the opportunity to go deeper into the practice of Kriya under the guidance of Nayaswami Devarshi and the Ananda monks.
The retreat will include:
- Long guided meditations
- A Kriya Initiation for current Kriyabans only, allowing an emphasis on deeper aspects of Kriya
- Workshops on approaches to Kriya that will help us to understand this sacred technique in a deeper way
- Guided practices of Ananda Yoga with an emphasis on the inner spine and chakras
- Devotional Kirtan
Workshops will be experiential and include:

About Nayaswami Devarshi: A long-time Ananda teacher, Nayaswami Devarshi was leader of the Kriya Sangha for many years. He’s served the Ananda communities in Seattle, Assisi, and Ananda Village. He has taught throughout the United States, as well as in Italy and Moscow. Devarshi also served on Swami Kriyananda’s personal staff for seven years and as Webmaster and creator of Ananda’s award-winning website. In 2016 Devarshi shifted to India to lead the Ananda monks.
