Living the Teachings of the Bhagavad Gita
with Nayaswami Devarshi & the Ananda Monks, 17-19 February 2017
“The truths propounded in the Gita are applicable at all levels of life: material, mental, emotional and spiritual… Krishna turns a righteous outward cause… into a description of the eternal conflict within all men between high aspiration and ego-indulgence. In a deeper sense, the war of Kurukshetra is the unending struggle in the mind between good and evil.” — from the Essence of the Bhagavad Gita, explained by Paramhansa Yogananda, as remembered by Swami Kriyananda
This retreat will be focused on how to use the Bhagavad Gita as a guide to living our material, mental, emotional and spiritual lives. When death draws near, the Gita again serves as a guide for how to prepare for this transition. “He who, at the hour of death, thinks only of Me enters unquestionably into My Being.”
