Teacher Training

A Spiritual Approach to Yoga

With Nayaswami Bhajana & Latha Gupta

March 1st – 27th, 2020

Go beyond physical exercise into the deeper realms of yoga. It’s a lifechanging experience — for both you and your students — as you experience spiritual growth and wellness on all levels.

Learn Deep Yogic Practices – In the Vibrations of a Deep Yogi

This residential yoga teacher training includes much more than techniques. During this month you’ll be residing in Ananda Kriya Yogashram, where a direct disciple of the great Master of Yoga, Paramhansa Yogananda, lived for the last 3 years of his life. Swami Kriyananda was a prolific author, composer, the founder of Ananda Yoga, as well as a deeply sensitive yogi himself. As you explore creative new ways to live according to your own beliefs, you’ll be guided by experienced teachers from the Ananda Yoga School of India®, and supported by the serenity and magnetism of this sacred place.

“Energising subtlety of spiritual atmosphere was instrumental in enhancing my learning experience. Presence of vibrations of the ‘lineage of divine masters’ and the ‘learned teachers’ helped all of us tune and immerse into what is beyond the perceptibility of sense organs.” – D.J., India

About Ananda Yoga

Ananda Yoga Teacher Training is a dynamic, professional training experience — and one of the few certified yoga teacher training programs offered in the highly regarded yoga tradition of Paramhansa Yogananda. We’ve spent more than 30 years shaping it into a first-rate expression of the tradition – a dynamic blend of professional training and personal development.

In the Ananda Yoga classes we now teach, our students are really thrilled by the results! They are more focused, can easier calm down the mind and can deal better with stress.
– S & G, Belgium, Graduates of AYTT 2018-2019

Sessions in Ananda Yoga are regularly offered at all Ananda centers, and many books and videos are also available. You can also watch this video to learn more about Ananda Yoga.

Ananda Sangha helped found the Yoga Alliance, the non-profit group that first established standards for yoga teacher training in the US. These standards are increasingly respected and honored world-wide.

The Ananda Yoga School of India® is registered with the Yoga Alliance for 200 hour and 300 hour courses, and is affiliated to The Expanding Light at Ananda Village in California.

200 hr Yoga Teacher Certification in One Month

You have the opportunity to learn either for personal or professional aims. The full training course is divided into four parts. You can choose to do one or all of the parts, depending on your schedule and level of interest. After the completion of each part, students will receive a certificate of participation for that part. To become a certified Ananda Yoga Teacher, you’ll need to complete all four parts.

Prerequisites

This course is open to all and no prior experience or knowledge of yoga is required. We recommend that you attend our Introduction to Meditation class which is regularly offered at all Ananda centers, and online classes are also available. This will give you an understanding of the core principles behind Ananda teachings. We also suggest that you read the Autobiography of a Yogi before starting with the course.
