Ananda Yoga Retreat

Going Deeper Within” Retreat Schedule

26-28 June 2015

Paramhansa Yogananda once said: “In meditation, depth is the principle thing. Every day’s meditation must be deeper than the previous day’s, then you will reach God quicker. But until your mind gets used to intensity of meditation, it will not appreciate long meditations.”

For those of us with responsibilities in the world, it can be challenging enough to keep our meditations going regularly, let alone making each day’s deeper than the last. In this weekend retreat Nayaswami Jaya will be offering us practical advice for deepening our meditations, and on making our every meditation as deep as we can. There will be time for questions and answers in the 2nd and 3rd classes, to focus on resolving the particular challenges we’re now facing.

Note: This retreat weekend will lead into a week-long period of guided seclusion, so that we can immediately put these lessons into practice.

This retreat will be essentially lead by Nayaswami Jaya, however you will have the opportunity to interact with others who have spent many years on the path of Kriya Yoga.

About Nayaswami Jaya:

Nayaswami Jaya Helin is among the founding members of Ananda. For many years he served as the general manager of Ananda Village, overseeing the development of housing and business clusters, roads, water and phone systems, and other infrastructure that supports the Village residents and guests. Later, he and his wife helped start an Ananda Center on the East Coast of the U.S., and from there, it was only a short “jump” to Ananda India! Jaya is an Ananda Lightbearer and Kriyacharya (authorized to initiate devotees into Kriya Yoga and discipleship). For the past several years he and his wife have been helping to pioneer Ananda India.
